Carlos Febles

Acquired in a trade with the Mudville Nine on 8/16/1999 along with Roger Cedeno and Ramon Martinez for Preston Wilson and Frank Catalanotto and Antonio Alfonseca.

Although primarily acquired by the Zingrods for his speed, this guy is pretty much all upside. Sure, he's not as fast as Tony Womack, but he has the potential for a batting average higher than Womack's on-base percentage.

Update 10-14-1999: Febles slumped toward the end of the year, but he still would have been KC's top rookie if it weren't for that other Carlos guy.

Update 5-2-2000: Febles has officially replaced Chuck Knoblauch as the Zingrods' starting second baseman.
