My wife and I first saw Huskey at a Mets-Pirates game a few years back. At first we were amused because his name sounds like a super-macho cartoon character, and because she owned a siberian husky at the time. Then he launched one out of Three Rivers. As a Mets fan, I was sad to see him go, but the outfield was pretty crowded anyway. As the owner of the Zingrods I was delighted to see him hitting in the Kingdome instead of Shea. If I was happy to see Huskey get half his at-bats in the Kingdome, imagine how I felt watching him tee off at Fenway. Until Jimy decided he was a platoon player at best and a bench warmer at worst. Now he gets to bomb Minnesota. There might not be as many ducks on the pond for him there, but his power numbers shouldn't drop off much because he won't have to deal with a platoon. Huskey and Ron Coomer are the closest thing to grizzled veterans that the Twins have left, and we all know how much patience Tom Kelly has with kids.
