Lieberthal has been a mainstay of the Zingrods roster since the team was founded. This wasn't always a good thing, as Lieberthal didn't get too many at-bats behind the immortal Dutch Daulton, or later behind Benito Santiago. All in all, though, it was still better than having Ron Karkovice struggle with the Mendoza line. And then there was 1997.

In real life, of course, a catcher is hired for defense (unless his name is Piazza) so this position is something of a nightmare for fantasy team owners. Catchers who hit .300 with 30 HR and 100 RBI are usually named Piazza, Lopez or Rodriguez.
