See Jason Christiansen I didn't protect Cordero in the offseason, planning to pick him back up in the late rounds of the draft if he had a decent spring. I wasn't planning on him having such a monster preseason that he would beat Richie Sexson out of a job. Needless to say, somebody else snagged him.

It breaks my heart, because Cordero is one of a handful of guys who had been on the Zingrods' roster pretty much since Day One (from way back when he was a shortstop).
